A true “One off “…. Chateau dating from the 10th Century….. We are going to tell you very little about it as it is currently run as venue for everything from weddings ( helpfully there is a chapel as part of this amazing property ), art exhibitions, anything you care to think of really….. The property also has accommodation and is run as a top class restaurant which is the “Go To ” for people locally and visitors to this glorious area, who want to celebrate in wonderful surrounding with excellent menus , fine wines , yet a total absence of the “snootiness” that can daunt people ……
We cannot -and will not – tell you where this dream property is as the current owners want to keep the sale completely under wraps – and we will not arrange visits unless we are personally sure that potential buyers are serious and not merely indulging in nosiness ! Sadly the really serious properties are cursed with people who are basically timewasters, without the financial wherewithal to purchase and just enjoying seeing the full interior of a magical property; We will need proof of finances prior to arranging a visit and will insist on a pre-visit meeting to protect our clients …..who, incidentally are totally delightful people but really do not have the time ( or inclination )for pointless visits.
I’m sorry if this sounds harsh, but, in honesty , it is really important….. this is a huge , historical property – but it is also a family home….. and part of our remit is to guard the privacy and security of our selling clients……. something we take very seriously for all the properties we hold.
If you feel that a stunning property with a proven income capacity, where every part of the property is utterly wonderful …. well, this could be just what you have been searching for…. the current owners have brought up their children there and are much loved by local people , they have a management style that I can only describe as ” Happy Management “…..
If you do arrange a visit I can tell you -personally – of the joyous times I have spent there, show you a painting I bought from one of the Art Exhibitions held there, and go on ( probably at length ) of a glorious wedding I attended there….. so many happy memories …..and tell you how the current owners have a feel for people that means the phrase ” to know it is to love it ” is just so apt for what they have created…..and which is now for sale to the right person /people……
