Edge of village location…..  seriously charming and priced to sell….
Originally two village houses, the two have been turned into one, seriously large house……. technically it has a garage ….( but it would need to be a very small car..)…..  Better, by far, in our view,  to use it as the utterly ideal ” parking space ” for bikes, ( motorised or not ) , skis, kayaks tents , and / or  camping gear, all the essential equipment for an excellent holiday…..or to link the “garage ” and the existing courtyard together ( my personal preferred option )……
Behind the ” garage ” is a dear little courtyard, Joe and I have seen the photos   –  ( pre-Pandemic  )   – when it was a lovely, vibrant, part of the living space…..  so seriously pretty…….and just so good for family meals, or for entertaining friends…;;;It’s not a huge space   –  but there is bags of room  for friends or family to eat under the stars….or you could combine the courtyard and the “garage into a far, far bigger space….and both spaces, combined or not, are conveniently near to the generous kitchen…..
Actually, all the rooms are generous…….. From the moment you walk in, you have the luxury of space….  Most village houses can best be described as  “Poky  “..not this one…..  The fact that it is really two houses is what makes all the difference……and the addition of the “garage ”  and courtyard space lifts it into another dimension…..
The location is fabulous, tucked in the tiny ,( virtually  no traffic ) road that is to the back of my house, yet seconds / tiny minutes, to walk to  the centre of the village, to the shops, Market Square ( Farmers ‘ Market every Saturday from 9 am  until noon ), to the bar/restaurants  –  Cafe de La Paix and Cafe des Sports  –  and the fabulous Hotel de France -( also a bar / restaurant )  – ( but Chef, Didier Limouzy is astounding…. a qualified Chef in a little village ????  we are so spoilt here……
This is the village I have chosen to live in …..( Top tip : Ask where the Estate Agent lives  )……In my case…. here…..
Now look at the price again…. No, it is not an error,  or a misprint….. this is the correct price…..It reflects the fact that the electricity needs up dating, that you might want to link the courtyard and the ” garage “, and that the windows lack double glazing……
BUT, at this teeny price, you will be getting a property with outside space, in a vibrant village, and that it is actually 2 houses….. so divide the price by 2  -……
The only reason that these houses are so ridiculously cheap  is because the current owner wants a quick sale…..( I haven’t seen a price this low for about 20 years………. )
Please be aware also, that this is not a “distress sale … so do not consider offensive offers please…..Jo, ( my colleague ) and I wanted to put the price higher, but the vendor, who is a seriously nice person , did not want to be ” greedy “. The vendors have had so much fun here, so many happy memories, that all they want is someone else to “pick up the torch ” and be as happy as they have been…..
This is a total ” One off ” and, in our opinions, one of the best buys you could make …..
