The village of Puivert has a super lake with restaurant/bar and café where you can relax and enjoy the stunning Pyrenean foothills scenery. There is a beached area for safe bathing and a small jetty for the more exuberant. On the opposite side there is fishing. During the summer months there is a vibrant Wednesday evening market by the lake with music, street food and crafts. The Bastille day fireworks display on a Wednesday in July is an event not to be missed – it is truly spectacular.


In the village centre and within easy walking distance, there are a further two restaurants and the wonderful Brasserie du Quercorb serving their own crafted artisanal beers and pizzas. BDQ also host music nights and the fish and chip evenings, with the mobile fish & chip van parked opposite, are incredibly popular.
